Tomoe Gozen was a late twelfth-century Samurai warrior known for her bravery. Indeed , in ancient Japan, women could also be brave warriors.
Their weapon par excellence was the “naginata”, a very sharp blade placed on top and a long stick.

I created this illustration as a tribute to Tomoe who represents to me the emblem of female power and strength. My highest wish is that every woman looking at her would acquire her strength and courage.

Nowadays equality has not yet been achieved, nonetheless we must continue to fight to obtain it. A vade mecum can only be helpful for the spirit.
